A Dozen Ways to Die’ highlights unusual tales from the crypts
September’s change of season already has many people thinking Halloween – especially around a cemetery. This Saturday, get in a spooky mood (during a bright morning) as the Sacramento Historic City Cemetery presents “A Dozen Ways to Die!”
“We searched the earth to find 12 all-new, bizarre deaths for 2019,” say the tour’s organizers. “Inquiring minds wanted to know: ‘What happens when a bullet moves really, really slowly?’ And, ‘Why did little Agnes scream when she opened the storeroom door?’ ”
Find out the answers to those queries and much more during this fall cemetery classic. This free walking tour starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the cemetery’s main gate, 1000 Broadway, Sacramento. Free parking is available on surrounding surface streets.
Wear sensible shoes; walking paths may be uneven. (And after some of these tales, you may feel the need to flee.) Also, take the opportunity to enjoy the cemetery’s famous gardens in fall bloom. Details:
