Green Acres hosts big Fall Festival of family fun

The pumpkins have rolled into Green Acres, which means it’s time to party.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, Green Acres Nursery & Supply will host its annual Fall Festival at four of its seven locations: Auburn, Folsom, Roseville and Sacramento.

From 10 a.m to 3 p.m., each of those nurseries will host a variety of family-friendly and often pumpkin-centric activities such as petting zoos, pie walks, face painting (and pumpkin painting) plus festival games (“pumpkin putting,” anyone?). The activities line-up is a little different at each location.

Admission and parking are free; no advance registration necessary.

“Come and join the festivities as we welcome the arrival of Autumn, Saturday, October 4 at our Auburn, Folsom, Roseville, and Sacramento locations,” say the hosts. “This free, family-fun event is our way of expressing gratitude to our amazing community of customers and sharing fall planting inspiration. A perfect event for the whole family!”

In addition, patrons can get expert fall gardening advice and inspiration from Green Acres garden gurus and enjoy Hot Buys on plants that are perfect for fall transplanting.

Plus shop from an amazing assortment of Halloween pumpkins in all shapes, sizes and shades of orange or cream.

Live music and other surprises are planned, too. The participating Green Acres are located at:

* Roseville: 7300 Galilee Road; and

* Sacramento: 8501 Jackson Road.
