Paint a friendship rock and help women, children in crisis

Combine a love of gardening and garden art with a good cause.

On Saturday, Feb. 8, The Secret Garden in Elk Grove will host its ninth annual “Party with a Purpose.” The event benefits St. John’s Program for Real Change, a Sacramento shelter and rehabilitation program for homeless and battered women and their children.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., patrons will enjoy specials and refreshments while getting to paint a friendship rock to take home. Suggested donation is $15.
