High-Hand hosts holiday faire, steampunk-style

It’s almost time to turn on the holiday lights at High-Hand!

This weekend, the destination nursery in Loomis celebrates Christmas in its own unique style. Along with its historic fruit shed and art gallery, High-Hand will be filled with decorating items and gifts during its Steampunk Victorian Holiday Faire.

At 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Steampunk Santa and his helpers will flip the switch on thousands of lights, transforming the century-old structure and garden displays into a twinkling winter wonderland.

Also Saturday, the High-Hand Conservatory will serve dinner from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.; make reservations at 916-652-2064 ext. 2.

The Holiday Faire will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8. Admission is free.

High-Hand Nursery and Art Gallery are located at 3750 Taylor Road, Loomis.
