Exotic Plants hosts huge ‘Community Plant Swap’

A side effect of having a green thumb: Too many plants!

What to do with those extras? Swap them with other gardeners.

On Saturday, March 28, Exotic Plants – Sacramento’s destination indoor plant store – will host a huge Community Plant Swap and Vendor Village. Admission and parking are free.

“Swap plants, share joy!” say the organizers. “From noon to 2 p.m., join fellow plant enthusiasts in the heart of the Sacramento community for a special plant exchange. Bring your well-loved plants to swap with others, share gardening tips, and foster connections with like-minded green thumbs. … It’s a wonderful opportunity to diversify your collection and spread the joy of plant parenting.”

Plants should be potted and preferably labeled with their variety.

In addition, Exotic Plants will host its Vendor Village from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring a wide selection of succulents, houseplants and more along with gardening gadgets and supplies.

“Discover a variety of plants, from succulents and rare finds to lush indoor greenery,” say the hosts. “Our vendors are handpicked to provide you with the best selection for every corner of your home or garden.”

Renowned for its orchids and tropical plants, Exotic Plants is located at 1525 Fulton Avenue, Sacramento.
