Learn to propagate plants like a pro

It’s time to take your propagation skills up a notch.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, Green Acres Nursery & Supply will host propagation workshops at three of its nurseries: Citrus Heights, Folsom and Roseville. “Create Class: Propagation 101” promises to teach participants to “propagate like a pro.”

“Learn how to propagate a variety of plants including florals, houseplants, and herbs,” say the hosts. “Our plant gurus will walk you through taking plant cuttings and preparing them for rooting success. We’ll send you home with four cuttings of your choice in a propagation kit to jump start your propagation journey.”

Class fee is $30 and includes all the materials to start propagating. Participants will have their choice of four plant starts, choosing from coleus, sweet potato vine, hybrid tea rose, pothos, philodendron, syngonium, oregano and thyme. They’ll also receive an attractive propagation kit with wooden base.

Space is limited and advance registration a must.
