Free online workshop offers expert fruit tree advice
Fruit trees are not only pretty; they provide (potentially) abundant fresh food.
But how do you keep your fruit trees healthy and bearing for years to come?
Find out during a free online workshop, “Everything You Need to Know About Fruit Trees (Part II).”
Set for 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, this class needs no prior registration. Just copy the Zoom link and join the discussion.
Offered by the UC master gardeners of Yolo County and the Davis Library, this Zoom workshop is a continuation of an earlier presentation on selecting and planting fruit trees. Missed Part I? That’s OK. Participants in this workshop don’t need the prior session (which concentrated on planting new trees) to take advantage of this class.
“Once you’ve chosen your fruit tree and planted it correctly, how do you keep it fruitful?” say the hosts. “UC master gardeners Bonnie Berman and Mike Kluk will cover pruning, pest management, and special considerations for citrus trees as part of the Davis Library Master Gardener Zoom Series.”
