Learn how to make a succulent wreath

It’s time to turn the calendar page and start preparing for the holiday season.

Where to start? How about the front door? And why not choose a project that will look good from Thanksgiving through the New Year – and maybe beyond?

Learn how to make a succulent wreath – and take home your creation – during a special hands-on workshop offered Saturday, Nov. 8, by Green Acres Nursery & Supply.

Green Acres will host the 10 a.m. workshop at four locations: Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom and Roseville.

“Our experienced garden gurus will lead you through the process of crafting a fall-inspired succulent wreath,” says Green Acres. “Assemble a variety of succulents, dried florals, air plants and decorative moss on top of a large grape wooden wreath.”

Advance registration is a must. Class fee is $55 and each session is limited to 20 participants.

Besides instruction, the workshop ticket includes all the materials to make a succulent wreath including the wooden wreath base, three succulent plants, three air plants, natural decorative moss and dried florals. The finished wreath will last weeks, if not months, with little or no care.
