Start a veggie garden with expert advice
Happy Groundhog Day! Whether we have six more weeks of winter or an early spring is irrelevant (at least here in Sacramento). It’s time to start thinking seriously about summer.
Especially when it comes to vegetable gardening. Planning (and indoor planting) now will go a long way toward summer success.
Learn how during a free workshop offered Saturday, Feb. 7, at all seven locations of Green Acres Nursery & Supply.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, “Start a Veggie Garden” will cover the basics with an emphasis on the “starting” part; this one-hour class will focus on “starting veggies from seeds and starts.”
Starting veggies from seeds is a great way to save money while also broadening a garden’s varieties. Green Acres garden gurus will offer their best tips as well as answer questions.
No advance registration is necessary. Green Acres nurseries are located in Sacramento, Auburn, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rocklin and Roseville.
