The Secret Garden hosts annual parking lot sale
March tends to be the busiest month for local nurseries – as well as gardeners. (Spring stirs our blood as well as green thumbs.) To make room for an influx of new stock, nurseries may hold clearance sales in late February – such as this huge event in Elk Grove.
This weekend (Feb. 28 and March 1), The Secret Garden will hold its annual Parking Lot Sale, packed with hundreds of bargains. Admission and parking are free.
“Get ready! It’s almost time for our annual Parking Lot Sale!” say the Khal family, The Secret Garden’s longtime owners. “From February 28 to March 1, we will have a large selection of heavily discounted, imperfect pottery, fountains, gift shop items, garden decor, and even plants!
“Most items in the sale are going to have chips, dings or cracks, but we will also be pulling some items for the sale that we just have an overstock of, in perfect condition. Sale prices range from 30 to 70% off. ”
Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, they add. “As usual, sale items will be set up in our parking lot and it’s first-come, first-serve! So make sure to come early for the best selection.”
Opened in 2002, The Secret Garden has become a popular destination nursery, packed with pottery, succulents and gardener gifts.
The Secret Garden is located at 8450 W. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove.
