Sacramento Tree Foundation hosts Midtown Tree Tour

What better way to appreciate the City of Trees than a walking tour of tree-shaded streets – particularly in one of Sacramento’s oldest neighborhoods?

Sign up now for the Sacramento Tree Foundation’s Midtown Tree Tour, a special guided walk through a favorite slice of our urban forest. The tour is free but advance registration is required.

Set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, this one-mile tour starts and ends at the Midtown Farmers Market. Participants will gather at 8:15 a.m. outside Pachamama Coffee, 919 20th St., Sacramento. After registration, the group will set out to explore Midtown’s shady streets and appreciate some beautiful trees.

“Kick off your Saturday morning (June 21) with a stroll exploring Sacramento’s trees and end at the Midtown Farmers Market!” say the organizers. “Sac Tree’s Arborist will introduce the common and rare urban tree species in our city. The one-mile tree walk will start and end outside of Pachamama Coffee, adjacent at the Saturday Midtown Farmers Market. Hope you can join our early walk under the shady trees before the day gets hot!”

The walk should wrap up by 10 a.m. All ages are welcome. Participants should wear comfortable shoes.

Space is limited, so reserve your spot soon. Participants will receive an email with more information after registration.
