Find bargain plants that are ‘Good Choices’ this weekend

The Good Choices Sale this Saturday, Oct. 25, is aptly named. The nursery at find out farms is offering a collection of items that are good choices for our gardens and good choices for our wildlife.

Select small-sized plants will be priced 25 percent off, as will find out farms’ own seed mix. Both are ideal for fall planting: The small plants will settle in well in fall’s warm soil, and the wildflower seed mix will get a head start on growing before winter sets in.

The sale also will feature the “Pollinator Snack Pack,” which consists of a small-sized California fuchsia paired with a small Twin Peaks coyote bush plant. Both are California natives and good sources of food for hummingbirds and other birds in fall when fewer flowers are blooming. The Pollinator Snack Pack will sell for $5.

South Oak Park is the home of find out farms, 4712 Parker Ave., Sacramento. Hours for the sale will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
